1. Ok, I'm here and you're here, so why not tell me a little about yourself? I won't bite I promise!

2. Interesting! Now that I know you better we can proceed. When did you first discover you had a talent for writing?

<sub>I discovered it when I was 16... I started college and met pseudo-poets who penned pure garbage. My stuff didn't seem so bad, in comparison.

However, my mother and my teachers always kind of knew.
I won my first award for an essay I wrote when I was in 4th grade.

I had been writing poems in perfect rhyme in meter since I was 5, because I had learned most of the Mother Goose rhymes I had read by heart when I was about 4.
I also used to improvise songs that rhymed, my grandmother used to tape me on a recorder... I also used to make up these amazing stories that I'd dramatize and play out, but no one ever knew, and I didn't start writing anything down until I was about 8.

But I recognized I did not suck when I started college.
I thought it was something everyone did (even though I could barely relate to anyone I knew until that point).</sub>


3. Do you prefer stories, poems, commentaries, or would you consider yourself a 'jack of all trades'?

<sub>I've been told I'm a good essayist and people usually enjoy my stories, but what satisfies me most is, when it happens, the sense of vertigo that they feel, or incomprehension, yet deep understanding.

One profesor said to me once "an essay is not a poem, you cannot suggest" - and she was scolding me.
Yet that describes my writing, even though I've tried so much to improve.
I can't escape it, though I've been trying hard to.
I'm a poet.</sub>


4. When you write something that you do share with others, is it for their benefit or your own? Simply put, do you write for others or for yourself?

<sub>I try not to think of my readers when I write... so I write for myself, to ensure that it will be pure, and then decide whether or not I want to share it.
I do sometimes have to edit, however, before I show my works to people... unless I want to be completely honest, and I usually do.

There is no more honest medium (or easier, or direct) for me than poetry or poetic prose, whatever it may be about.
I barely ever know what I'm going to write about until it's already written... and I barely ever write consciously, I have to go into a sort of trance when the feeling takes over me, when inspiration shakes me up.

And it's funny, almost every time I've written a piece for someone I love, it ends in doubt or heartbreak... I had a boyfriend to whom I sent, smiling and a bit nervous, a poem I was very satisfied with... he was angry and wrote me something nasty back... and didn't want to talk to me the next day. (He was a piscies and kind of a retard, that's why.)
The poem was something about razor tongues with double edges, a frail house of cards and acid rain.
I read it a long time later and it all made sense. I had tapped into what most disgusted me about him.
I cannot lie when I write poetry, it comes from the most obscure corners of my subconscious.

When I write, it's for no one's benefit but it's own.

To exist.

Perhaps it's for the world's benefit, for kindred hearts that sometimes tell me that they've felt what I put into words, but never knew how to express it.
That makes me feel like it's worth something.</sub>

6. Artists and writers tend to think less of themselves than their fans do. Does their opinion have any kind of impact on your writing positive or negative?

_{Usually negative.
I rather not think of what people think in general, because I start to feel it will go to my head and I will become who I am not.
It's not likely, but people's opinions give me all sorts of existential crises, so I rather be the excentric recluse that I am, thank you very much.}


7. Is your writing geared towards the profession or simply as a hobby?

_{If 7 years of studying Lit doesn't pay off, I'm in trouble.}



8. Have, or would you consider allowing an artists to add their artwork to your work if it would improve the overall effect on the viewer?

_{Yes, I've even planned a few things me and the artists have never really carried out... I wonder why that is.
Ooooh yeah, I remember.
I let people down.}


9. As I'm sure you are aware, there are a lot of budding artists out there. What advice would you give them about potential critics of their work?

<sub>Fack 'em.

Unless you admire them.
If you think they're God, learn from them and soak it up.
But do not
